Her design credits include Rock Band, The Sims, eBay, Netflix, Cover Fashion, Indiegogo, nytimes.com, Ultima Online, Happify, Pley and numerous startups.

Named by Fortune as one of the top 10 influential women in games, Amy Jo pioneered the idea of applying game design to digital services, and is known for her 2000 book, Community Building on the Web, and her 2012 TEDx talk, Collaboration & Community-Building. She has a Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Washington and is adjunct Game Design professor at the USC School of Cinematic Arts

Should I come alone, or bring my team?

Ideally, bring your team. We’re teaching techniques that optimize performance across your entire department or company. That said, we welcome solopreneurs, and anyone who wants to pickup product design and management skills. Everyone will have a great time & learn a lot.


How is the livestream different from being onsite?

The main difference is that we don't feed you (or smell you) if you're participating via livestream :-) Seriously, it's a great option if you can't travel to San Francisco for the event. You'll be meet people from around the world in our friendly, helpful Zoom Webinar rooms and event-specific Slack channels -- - all staffed by trained coaches who are there to help you get the most from your experience. Join us onsite to meet the luminaries face-to-face - but don't hesitate to signup for the livestream if you want to learn from wherever you are and be part of the worldwide Game Thinking community.

What if I purchase a ticket, but can’t make it to the event?

Tickets aren’t refundable — but if you can’t make it to the LIVE event, you can attend another program:

  • A different LIVE event at a later time OR
  • Our 8-week Online Masterclass in May 2017, which requires no travel.  

Remember: ticket holders gets access to the online Game Thinking prep course, and the Game Thinking Academy curated private community. So if you’re thinking of attending – and you want to learn the tools and techniques of Game Thinking — go for it!
